They placed a chair in the center of the dance floor and grabbed Carrie. In front of all their guests in the beautiful Laboratory Mill reception space. It was then when Hunter and his brother grabbed their guitars that we knew what was happening. Hunter was singing to his wife for the first time. The first time he could serenade his WIFE. The spotlight was on them. The intricate detailing on Carrie’s dress was glistening under the light. He sang the words that would hang on their hearts for a lifetime. “I would be lying if I said that I could live this life without you” and “Well I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know. She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I’ll share her home”. A compilation of Brett Young’s song In Case You Didn’t Know and Ed Sheeran’s song Perfect. The perfect testament to their love and their story.
As Matron of Honor, Abby stood for her speech she spoke from the title of big sister. Oh the love of a protective sister. “Carrie met Hunter at Planet fitness and we knew there was something wrong when Carrie started going to the gym regularly and actually enjoying herself”. One comment after another. Tears start welling up. The best speeches include laughter and tears.
As soon as you meet Hunter and Carrie, it’s very evident the love they have for each other. A love just like Christ has for the church. Protection. Respect. Admiration. And the way he looks at her and holds her, oh so tenderly. With their whole hearts. With class and grace. Their day was nothing short of perfection with a little splash of good luck rain throughout the day. It was just about their marriage and their love for each other. Congratulations to you two! May your love always persevere and never forget the moments that take your breath away.
