There’s a major part of me who wanted to wait to show off my house until it was perfectly put together. I’m a perfectionist and I don’t like showing things half done. Since I’ve been in my first home for almost 5 months now I wanted to give a tour and what better time than to make a holiday home tour?
The holidays are my favorite time of year. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday. There’s something about lights and garland strung around that makes a house more cozy to bring people together. It’s a time of the year where it seems like everyone is filled with joy, peace, happiness and love. You’ll find a grinch or two here and there but overall it’s the best time of the year.
I’ve dreamed and planned decorations and ideas for my first home for years and years. 2018 was finally the year I bought my first house (on my own). I’m like a real adult with real bills now. Everything started to come together just how I envisioned it and even though I wanted everything to be absolutely perfect, it won’t ever be. I’ve honestly accepted that. I’ll always be adding or changing something. I’ve realized now that it’s okay to share something while it’s in progress. That way you can look back on where you’ve been and how far you’ve come.
My hope is that next year’s holiday home tour will be just as beautiful but with more. More decorations. More friendships made and memories created within these walls. More stories to tell. More blessing for my first home. Enjoy my first holiday home tour and hopefully I’ll get to share more of this home with you next year.
