The day started at Tori’s parents home where all the girls were laughing, sipping champagne, getting glammed up and chit chatting over memories.  It was a beautiful morning and the nerves hadn’t hit Tori yet. She was just filled with excitement. Jasmine from Alter Image of Charleston really did her magic with the hair and makeup! Y’all all the girls were gorgeous, Toril looked stunning, even the MOB, Caroline, looked beautiful all glammed up!

Tori’s details were so fun to capture. Her grandmother’s handkerchief was her something old, her mother’s earrings were something borrowed. A blue garter and some new bling shoes completed her look. The guys were over in another house in the neighborhood getting ready, chucking back some beers before they had to pack up and be shuttled off to the Bottle Factory Venue.

If this venue doesn’t look familiar you might have seen it on my most recent wedding blog post. Yep, two weddings in a row at the same venue. I pushed myself to do something different so they each had their own unique days to match their styles and personalities. The one thing specifically requested was the dress on the white wall shot! Tori loved it from the first wedding and that’s the shot Tori got!  🙂

As soon as the boys arrived I snagged Josh so he could get prepared to see his beautiful bride for their first look. Josh is like a brother to me and were really good friends all through college. So getting a front row seat in seeing him marry his best friend and love was just such a joy.

Side note, our last names are only two letters apart: Pendergrass and Pendergraft. I mean how rare are those names? Lol. My actual brother’s name is Josh. His mother’s name is Yvonne, which is my middle name. AND our birthdays are a day apart. LITERALLY MEANT TO BE FRIENDS. Okay back to the wedding.

When Josh turned around to see his bride, he was speechless I swear. He took all the time to look at all of his bride. Walked around her in a full circle to take a good look at her. With the biggest grin on his face he finally hugged and kissed Tori. After they soaked in their moment and hugged and talked a bit he took one last step back to look at this soon to be wife and kissed her one more time. It was just so cute.

Then portrait time started and the whole gang walked up towards downtown Monroe to hang out in the street. Quite literally. Now I would say it was a pretty hot day when the sun was out. When a cloud came (and were all praying for clouds but no rain) we ran out in the road and had a blast. Almost the entire bridal party were fellow Gardner Webb alums and it was just a big blast hanging out with old friends.

The two said I DO through laughter, tears, prayer and secret hand shakes. Tori and Josh shared their vows and were announced as Mr and Mrs! The party started on the first floor of the Bottle Factory Venue as the couple ate and had their official husband and wife portraits outside in the garden!

After introductions and sweet special dances, Tori’s parents surprised her and Josh with the Sunset Slush cart. Tori’s favorite summer dessert rolled in the venue, with the full beach set up (umbrella and all) and served some delicious frozen cocktails all night! How fun right?! After everyone got their slush cocktail they all filled the dancefloor and danced the night away until our sparkler exit!

To Tori and Josh, thank you so much for trusting me to capture this season of your life. I am so honored to have been your photographer! I love you both and am so stinking happy for y’all! I wish you nothing but the best and I’m just a text away!

Thank you to the wonderful team who made this day so beautiful and perfect!
