Parnian and Graham’s elegant outdoor wedding at The Brawley Estate was full of love, tears, traditions and a lot of dancing! Parnian and Graham tied in so many aspects of their love story throughout the day. The Persian tradition of sprinkling sugar over the couple to make their marriage sweeter, sharing honey during their vows, even designated alone time before their reception started. But they were most excited to celebrate with their friends and families.
Right after the bridal party and the bride and groom were announced into the reception, the father of the bride grabbed the mic. All eyes were on him. He had just witnessed his only daughter marry the love of her life. His baby girl was now a married woman. It was finally time to give a speech and thank everyone. With all eyes on him he started with a story.
Twenty-seven years ago, he came to America to find and build a life that would be perfect for his family. He left behind his mother, wife and daughter (our bride) and many other family members. With dreams and goals to make a happy life in America, he found his way to a small town right outside Charlotte, North Carolina. He always wondered if he was making the right decision.
It was fate that placed Parnian’s father and their family to live in Mount Holly. If they would have lived anywhere else in the world, Parnian would have never met her best friends in middle school, nor would she have gone to high school with her husband. When he said “being here today made him realize that he made the right decision twenty-seven years ago”. It was a moment during her father’s speech that tugged at everyone’s hearts. A God wink.
April 13, 2019 would not have been the wedding day for Parnian and Graham had her father not moved to the United States to make a better life for his family. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. My arms had goosebumps. Chills all over. Parnian and Graham’s story was perfectly created and their love was indestructible.
Parnian and Graham, I just love you two so much. Your friendships mean the world to me and I am truly truly honored to have been able to capture this season of your love story. Your wedding day was nothing short of perfect. Another God wink when kept all the rain away from your big day (which had us all worried and anxious). I can’t wait to watch you start a family and be there all along the way!
