Couples, Portraits

Lindsey and Tyler’s countryside engagement session took place a HUGE plot of land that one of Tyler’s best friends let them use in Taylorsville, NC. Y’all when I say plot of land, I’m talking like acres upon acres of rolling hills, wildlife galore, a pond with a swinging rope, kayaks and SO much more! You literally have to schedule yourself on the family calendar in order to use their land.

Our engagement session was originally scheduled a few weeks ago, but the most recent hurricane, Florence, had a mind of her own and washed away our plans. Then, it took us some time to get back on the family land calendar ;).

How they met

Lindsey and Tyler met briefly at UNCC S.O.A.R program, which is an overnight freshmen orientation. Afterwards, he found her on Facebook (like most guys do) and they talked off/on for about a year. They officially started dating in June of 2013 and after 6 months of dating they both knew they were the one. 4 years and 2 degrees later Tyler proposed.

How He proposed

Both being avid college football fans, specifically Clemson fans. Tyler knew he wanted to propose in a big way and incorporate their shared love for the Tigers.  They went down for the Clemson/Auburn game and she thought it was just going to be like any other game weekend but little did she know there was an extra little present making the trip this time.  A few hours into the tailgate, Tyler asked Lindsey if she wanted to walk up to see the new sign they had above the stadium entrance.

She thought the whole situation was weird because they wouldn’t be walking up to the game for another 3 hours but she went along with it anyways. After walking down to the stadium, they were looking and talking about the new sign and asked her if she wanted to take a picture with it. While they were taking pictures (completely oblivious) Tyler said “I have a question”, he got down on one knee and asked Lindsey “Will you marry me?”. Quite simply the easiest “Yes!” she will ever say.

Lindsey and Tyler are getting married next October at The Garden Cafe in York, SC and I can’t wait to see the way Tyler looks at his bride when she comes down the aisle. His signature ear to ear grin will warm you up and light up a room there’s no doubt there won’t be a dry eye in the room on their big day. Check out their countryside engagement session and this super cute couple.
