I think all of our jaws were on the floor when we showed up to Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in Charleston, SC for their engagement session. We knew it would be gorgeous but I don’t think we all really realized how magical Charleston is when placed in front of a camera. The light breeze, the sound of birds chirping, you can see the Spanish moss just drifting in the air and floating so effortlessly. Literal dreams, y’all.
I’ve been friends with Steven since elementary school. He lived up the street and around the corner from me and when we were old enough to drive he used to pick me up on the way to school, and in true boy fashion would drive right by my house on purpose sometimes. I met Megan in high school when our rival middle schools joined together and went to the same high school; which is how I met almost all of my current best friends.
Being a photographer I always assumed I’ll take pictures of all my best friends’ special moments and capture their proposals, to possibly their weddings, and then their family/children. It’s even sweeter when they officially ask me to be their photographer!
Megan has been living in Charleston for several months while she is on clinical rotations for Optometry school. Of course after I did their surprise proposal in Boone, NC last summer, we knew we were going to do their engagement pictures when she was in Charleston! All the photography dreams!
